Set within yards of the River Thames and Marlow Bridge, a 1980’s secluded townhouse
had a mass block work pattern covering the whole garden up to the beautiful Acer
griseum positioned at the rear.

the garden was difficult, but successfully achieved. A large amount of planting softens
the strong lines of both the paving and the overhead pergola, which in turn relate
back to the surrounding architecture and urban environment.
“I was delighted with the process Christopher James led me through. I felt fully
involved with the planning process and was able to visualise the garden and appreciate
the subtleties of the design before construction started’
